Fly me away!

The countdown continues... 41 days left until a 3 part plane journey will take us from London to Charlotte North Carolina. And then after this exciting trip we come home and move our lives to a home in London that we haven't found yet!

Next week we're going to London for two days to view flats and hopefully find somewhere to call our own - prayers appreciated - as we only found out we're not on campus at the beginning of May and it would be pretty difficult to organise things from the US. But apart from that we're really excited to move and start studying.

In regards to America, the KOA website has become my new best friend as I (Josie) scout out a camp ground in each destination.
We'll be camping for about 90% of the trip so I hope I can get my cooking skills up to scratch for the camp fire meals. But saying that, I'm currently watching The Island with Bear Grylls and I'm pretty sure what we're doing will seem like luxury compared to what they did. Even if I cook rubbish meals, I could go to Walmart and buy some more goodies or just try the local cuisine!

My lists of exciting things to see and do is growing longer and longer - I can't let myself think about the packing list yet otherwise I would just start packing an repacking all the time. I'm so organised I scare myself...

Anyway, Jimmy is equally excited if not more so but has other things to focus on right now. He's preparing a great sermon on Jonah at the moment that he's preaching this Sunday morning so he's being kept busy and working on another project we hope to launch while at Oak Hill.

Still so much to do and what feels like so many days left to endure when we know change is coming! Adventures, exploring, resting, reconnecting, laughing and making new memories :)

Remembering this often with new times ahead:

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace."

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
